It’s The Holidays!
Unbelievably, it’s already the holiday season, which means holiday shopping! No matter what time of year it is, my thoughts are always turning to monarchs. There are so many beautiful and useful monarch related gifts that you can give or put in your own letter to Santa.
There are two important organizations that you can help support with your shopping: monarchwatch.org and the National Wildlife Federation. Both have a variety of monarch themed gifts. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, there are dozens of other sources. They may not directly support our pollinating friends, but every time someone sees a monarch on apparel, book, coffee cup, etc., it will remind them that our monarchs are both important and beautiful. One particular source, if you’re on Facebook, is a group called Monarch Art, which offers beautiful and creative works of art. Happy shopping and Happy Holidays!
